JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Lean Roadmap
- Prepares and updates the lean roadmap in close cooperation with site management. Defines lean measures based on lean roadmap together with the site manager.
2. Measures
- Ensures the measurability of lean activities. Collaborates with departments and the site manager on corrective actions in cases of deviations from set activities.
3. Trainings
- Plans, implements and directs lean projects and kaizen workshops. Prepares and conducts lean trainings (e.g. basics LEAN, 5S, SMED, etc ...). Leads, promotes, and motivates the employees on lean manufacturing together with the production manager, e.g. through lean games, best practices, personnel development and training measures, and active communication through internal media platforms (plant in-formation boards, SCHOTT World, etc.).
4. Projects
- Supports the Lean Transformation team with pilot projects and coordinates all corresponding activities.
5. Exchange of Experieces
- Cooperates and enforces interactive experience/information exchanges with other BU/BS Lean Managers. Informs site management and the BU/BS line about the status and progress of the lean management efforts and activities on site.
6. Develops overall Lean strategy in accordance to P policies
7. Coordinate all the necessary actions in order to achieve the targets established in the Lean Monitoring Tool.
8. Responsible to maintain updated the Lean Monitoring Tool submitting the reports on time according with the P and SCHOTT guidelines.
9. Organizes Lean Basics training, Lean seminars, and other corporate events on LEAN topic
10. Organizes Weekly Lean Tours to monitor Lean activities
12. Maintain records and reports connected with Lean project
13. Is eager to involve personnel into the process of continuous improvements, collects and analyse ideas for improvements
14. Rendering of consulting services to the employees on LEAN topics
15. Prepares and updates the information on the LEAN board
16. Organizes LEAN days
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- University or college level technical degree
- Occupational Experience
- At least 5 years leadership experience
- At least 5 years Lean experience acquired in a production environment
- Strong process orientation and structured problem solving
- Presentation and teaching skills
- Social competences, openness
- High level Lean, TPM, Six Sigma knowledge is an advantage
