Toyo Tire Corporation was founded in Japan in 1945 and is a producer of tires for passenger vehicles, light trucks, trucks & buses, as well as automobile components. It operates worldwide, including the US, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Germany, UK, Netherlands, Italy, Russia, China, Thailand and Malaysia. It has more than 13,000 employees worldwide. The company was established In Serbia in 2019 and started construction of a plant in 2020, with the planned start of manufacturing in April 2022. The company plans to invest 390 million Euros and employ more than 500 persons by 2023.
About the position
Toyo Tire Serbia is currently looking for the prospective candidates for the role of an Accountant
Location: Belgrade / Indjija site
About the role
An Accountant has a responsible role in setting the foundations for accounting and tax key internal processes. In this role, you would:
- Assist in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting
- Actively support in the preparation of financial statements and reports for local regulation and corporate books
- Manage calculation and submission of tax returns
- Actively manage standard financial and cost accounting items (AR, AP, GL, forecasting, budgeting)
- Be responsible for day-to-day finance and accounts operations as per Chief Accountant`s instructions
- Maintain general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, and operating expenses, and insurance records
- Perform full set of accounts and ensure timely closing of accounts
- Review accounting and administrative controls
- Coordinate preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting
- Be responsible for timely assistance in preparing monthly financial statements, payments, cash-flow management reporting for submission
- Actively control and maintain adherence to internal policies and procedures,
- Pro-actively propose solutions for developing and maintaining internal control and effective accounting system and policies for the setup
- Support in ensuring that inter-company cost allocations are in line with management agreements and transfer pricing policy
About you
To be successful in this role, you would have
- College/University education: minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in financial & management accounting
- Excellent strategic planning skills and being able to interact with colleagues at all management levels
- Good MS Office skills, particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel
- Working experience in SAP as highly regarded
- Fluency in English
