Toyo Tire Corporation was founded in Japan in 1945 and is a producer of tires for passenger vehicles, light trucks, trucks
& buses, as well as automobile components. It operates worldwide, including the US, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Germany,
UK, Netherlands, Italy, Russia, China, Thailand and Malaysia. It has more than 13,000 employees worldwide. The Company
was established In Serbia in 2019 and started construction of a plant in 2020, with the planned start of manufacturing in
April 2022. The Company plans to invest 390 million Euros and employ more than 500 persons by 2023.
About the position
Toyo Tire Serbia is currently looking for the prospective candidates for the role of: Master Scheduler
Location: Indjija site
About the role
The Master Scheduler will analyse production plans, set planned requirements based on sales planning and communicate
production requirements to all other departments. In this role, you would:
- Develop weekly schedules/plans to accommodate customer demand considering the capacities and constraints of machines/presses and equipment
- Be responsible for the daily follow up of production plan to make necessary adjustments depending on inventory levels of the components, compounds and green tires, to make necessary changes due to machine failure, quality issues etc
- Create machine line up and priorities for the production lines
- Ensure that every employee involved in the production process receives the production schedule/plan and has a clear understanding of what is required to meet the order and needs of the customer
- Analyse production complexity, raw material, compound and component consumption and requirements and participate in activities for the reduction of complexity
- Coordinate and schedule development of new products with minimal disruption to regular production
- Create analyses and plans of molds and containers needed for curing
- Analyse the capacity utilization and propose opportunities for improvement
- Indicate possible predictive and objective downtime that affects the success of the production process and suggest actions
- Report all accidents, react to environmental hazards and provide feedback to the HSE department
- Maintain and enforce all safety and health policies, including TOYO systems and policies enforced by the government
- Be responsible for the implementation of legal and internal regulations and procedures related to scheduling and other Quality system procedures
About you
To be successful in this role, you would have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Economics, Organizational Sciences, or related fields is preferred
- At least 4-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the tire industry
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, required
- Experience in working with ERP, MES, Kanban planning systems in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodology is preferred
- Strong planning, organizing and management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Mathematical Logic
- Problem-solving skills
