BI Analyst - Sports Operations
Location: Belgrade
Job description:
- Execute ad-hoc data requests by writing efficient SQL to extract, join, and aggregate data from multiple databases.
- Build and maintain basic Power BI reports (clean data model, simple visuals, filters/slicers).
- Support senior teammates on larger analytical tasks (data prep, testing, documentation.
- Perform data quality checks and ensure consistency of KPIs/definitions.
- Proactively learn BI best practices (SQL, DAX, Power Query, source control, performance basics).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Information Systems).
- Proficiency in English.
- Strong computer skills: Excel, SQL, Power BI (Python is a plus).
- Analytical and curious mindset, with attention to detail and structured thinking.
- Interest in sports and/or betting industry.
- Eager to learn and open to feedback.
- Strong communication skills and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Team player who is reliable with deadlines.
Preferred background:
- Internships, student projects, or participation in analytics competitions are a plus.
- Experience in data/BI teams within fintech, e-commerce, sports betting, or analytics consultancy.
