Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the project team to understand design requirements and project scope.
- Develop and create detailed mechanical designs for various components of projects.
- Utilize SolidWorks, Draftsight to create 3D models and technical drawings.
- Conduct design calculations and simulations to ensure mechanical integrity and functionality.
- Perform prototype testing and iterate on designs based on feedback and real-world testing.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting during the production and assembly phases.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in mechanical design, preferably in the smart home automation industry.
- Expertise in SolidWorks, Draftsight for CAD design and modeling.
- Experience in SolidWorks Part, Drawing, Assembly, and Sheet Metal modules.
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of thermoplastics, metals, etc.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (Injection molding, Milling, Turning, Laser cutting, Sheet bending, etc.).
- Knowledge of coating methods (Anodizing, Painting, etc.).
- Experience with prototyping and testing mechanical designs.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex mechanical problems.
- Good communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the smart home automation industry or related fields.
- Familiarity with additional design tools or software:
- SolidWorks Simulation (Static, Thermal analysis)
- LightTools
