About Us
Qoolo is a US-based stealth-mode health-tech startup building an innovative SaaS platform with multiple solutions to transform how life science companies create and share information with their stakeholders, namely doctors and other healthcare professionals. Founded in 2021, Qoolo has about 15 personnel, with offices in Princeton, NJ and Subotica, Serbia.
Life science companies spend billions each year to reach doctors and other healthcare professionals with educational and promotional content. Meanwhile, there are about 1 million publications each year on medical subjects. As a result, medical knowledge is doubling every few months. Yet, doctors are becoming busier and there is a growing shortage and burnout of doctors. Our mission is to help ease this burden with technology, including AI.
About the Role
Qoolo is a cloud-based platform that enables creation and sharing of educational and promotional medical content. We create content that will be directly shared with healthcare professionals, while also providing professional services and creating content on behalf of our customers.
We're looking for one or more talented individuals with a PhD or MD to join our growing R&D team in Serbia as a (Senior) Medical Associate. This role will involve working extensively with the Qoolo software, along with various forms of medical content, including literature, to advance our proprietary library of unique medical content for healthcare professionals. The (Senior) Medical Associate will also be responsible for supporting clients for the creation of medical content on the Qoolo platform.
Qoolo is an early-stage startup, meaning that a (Senior) Medical Associates will be given a chance to learn and advance rapidly within the company. Candidates should be able to thrive in a collaborative and virtual team, often working with international colleagues or clients, and within a fast-paced, high-performing, and at times unstructured environment. Being able to collaborate with personnel in the US, sometimes with flexible hours, is critical. This is a full-time role with salary and stock options negotiable based on seniority and experience. Location flexible within Serbia, although Subotica, Beograd, Novi Sad, Kragujevac, or Nis would be preferred.
Qualifications: Must Have
- A PhD or MD in biomedical sciences.
- Excellent English language skills, especially related to medical terminology and literature.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with peer-reviewed scientific/medical publications, including authorship.
- Ability to summarize advanced scientific content, extract key information, and communicate such information to both highly trained and lay audiences.
- Basic understanding of the healthcare environment, pharmaceutical development process, clinical trials, digital health, and other life science industry trends.
- Some familiarity with SaaS software concepts and the ability to quickly master generative AI concepts. This includes understanding the principles of natural language processing to craft effective prompts.
- Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet.
Qualifications: Pluses
- International education or postdoctoral experience.
- Proficiency with graphics programs (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma) or AI software (e.g., ChatGPT).
- Experience in industry (i.e., working for a pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device company) or consulting.
- Experience with Cardiovascular Disease, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Nephrology, and/or Oncology.
