Senior Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Accountant with B2C experience to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to manage all aspects of bookkeeping, financial reporting, tax compliance, and accounting operations in line with Serbian accounting standards and tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee bookkeeping activities, including income, invoicing, expenses, fixed assets, bank reconciliations, petty cash, taxes, loans, and interest.
• Manage inventory accounting and material accounting, ensuring accurate documentation of warehouse operations.
• Maintain a fixed asset register and track asset depreciation.
• Administer monthly payroll calculations, including social contributions, salaries, travel orders, tax expenses, sick leave, and employee benefits.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of loans, interest, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Manage cash flow, e-banking, payment orders, and communication with banks.
• Ensure accurate transactional data entry into the accounting system.
• Administer VAT calculations, Corporate Income Tax (CIT), and e-invoicing.
• Prepare regular financial statements in compliance with Serbian Law (monthly, quarterly, yearly).
• Submit mandatory reports to the National Bank and Statistical Bureau.
• Represent the company before tax authorities and manage all tax records and obligations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or Chief Accountant.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting department.
• Strong knowledge of B2C accounting, financial management, and taxation.
• Experience in sales accounting, goods delivery, and logistics (post/courier).
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of Serbian accounting and tax legislation.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with e-invoicing systems and VAT administration.
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar).
