Are you a skilled and motivated professional with a passion for keeping trucks on the road? We’re looking for an OTR Fleet & Maintenance Manager to lead our fleet operations and maintenance across the USA — ensuring smooth, efficient, and cost-effective performance!
What You’ll Do:
Fleet Management Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily fleet operations to ensure maximum efficiency, safety, and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Track and manage fleet performance metrics, including fuel efficiency, mileage, and equipment utilization.
- Coordinate driver assignments, ensuring timely deliveries and optimal route planning.
- Monitor ELD (Electronic Logging Devices) and driver hours of service to maintain compliance.
- Develop and enforce fleet policies for safety, maintenance, and driver communication.
- Manage vehicle registrations, permits, IFTA reporting, and insurance documentation.
- Identify opportunities to optimize fleet operations, reduce fuel consumption, and lower operational costs.
Maintenance Management Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of semi-truck maintenance for our OTR fleet operating throughout the United States.
- Locate and build relationships with reliable repair shops, mobile mechanics, and parts suppliers nationwide.
- Negotiate vendor contracts to secure the best rates and service agreements, reducing maintenance costs without sacrificing reliability or safety.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections to minimize breakdowns and DOT violations.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and cost-control strategies.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance, parts inventory, and service history.
- Collaborate with drivers and dispatch to quickly address equipment issues, keeping trucks on the road and deliveries on time.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in fleet or truck maintenance management (OTR experience in the USA strongly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, semi-truck systems, and DOT/FMCSA compliance.
- Ability to evaluate and choose cost-effective services without compromising reliability or safety.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with fleet management software and reporting tools.
- A proactive mindset to reduce breakdowns, control costs, and improve efficiency.
- Strong organizational skills to manage a large fleet, multiple vendors, and driver communication efficiently.
