We are searching for a Patent Paralegal with initiative, passion, and focus who will help us continue to deliver innovative smart home and business technology solutions. This position will report to the Senior IP Counsel and will assist in the management and docketing of our patent, copyright, and trademark portfolios.  In addition, this position will play an integral role in complex corporate transactional and litigation work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and competing priorities. This role requires excellent writing skills and demonstrated organizational abilities.  Self-motivation and attention to detail are critical to the success of the Patent Paralegal I.

Specific Responsibilities

• Manage USPTO, WIPO, and EPO correspondence, inventor oaths/declarations, invention disclosures, and other ancillary documents
• Maintain IP portfolio docketing with strong attention to detail to meet all required deadlines
• Organize and manage internal invention disclosure review and patent filing process
• Review terms of inbound and outbound licenses to track compliance
• Provide administrative and program management support to the Senior IP Counsel

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certification
• 3+ years of experience filing documents via USPTO EFS and WIPO ePCT, reviewing and proofreading USPTO and PCT submissions and forms, and retrieving information using USPTO PAIR
• Knowledge of the practices and procedures of various patent offices such as USPTO, WIPO, and EPO
• Fluent in the English language, including experience with verbal/written communication of legal and technical matters

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with in-house legal team at a large company or large law firm 
• Experience working within a technology consumer products company
