Process Engineer - Automotive Industry

We have an excellent opportunity for a Process Engineer at one of our major automotive clients, supporting the installation of a new battery assembly line. This role offers outstanding exposure to the latest technologies and manufacturing techniques.

Job Description:

• You will utilise your knowledge to develop and implement assembly and in-process test processes and facilities to deliver the safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives.
• Detailed planning, development and implementation of installation timing plans with key suppliers.
• Ensure robust process planning, including building simulations and PFMEAs.
• Assembly process & equipment verification at suppliers and at manufacturing facility
• Manage technical issues and escalate where appropriate.
• Achieve equipment capability and availability targets.
• Support the resolution of technical issues where appropriate.
• Planning, developing, and implementation of all written Processes for manufacturing and all tooling, jigs, and fixtures for manufacturing.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience of Manufacturing / Engineering processes, tools and techniques with a hands-on approach to engineering.
• Experience of facility installation, project management, capability validation, commissioning and product launch.
• Ability to work within cross-functional teams and flexibility to support projects from early concepts to Launch.
• Ability to use CAD packages to review engineering drawings and models (Catia V6 & Teamcentre etc)
• Understanding of safe automated and manual manufacturing system
• Ability to problem solve technical and manufacturing issues.
