Position – Procurement Officer
Location – Doha, State of Qatar
Employment Status – Indefinite Term
Sourcing of Suppliers & Analysis
- Source for prospective suppliers and develop compelling bid cost proposals for contracts, RFQs (Request for Quotation), RFIs (Request for Information), RFXs (Request for Proposal), and other tenders.
- Ensure delivered orders match the original specifications and quantities.
- Analyze and review supplier proposals, contracts, and agreements to ensure compliance with project specifications and legal requirements.
Supplier Database & Response
- Continuously expand and update the company's supplier database, including qualifications, delivery times, and future development potential.
- Respond to and follow-up on technical queries related to RFQs, RFIs, RFXs, and other tenders received by the company.
Purchase Orders, Inventory & Records
- Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate timely procurements to avoid stockouts.
- Maintain meticulous records of all purchasing activities, including pricing data and other critical information.
Procurement Process & Supplier Performance
- Manage the procurement process, including issuing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and resolving any supply chain issues or discrepancies.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, including delivery times, quality of products/services, and overall reliability.
Collaboration & Industry Trends
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize procurement costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in procurement and supply chain management.
- Proven access to global oil and gas procurement supply chain
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 – 8 years’ experience in procurement, preferably in the oil & gas industry.
- In‐depth knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and contract negotiation.
- Familiarity with oil and gas equipment, materials, and services.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem‐solving skills.
- Excellent communication in written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in using procurement software/tools and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of relevant industry regulations and compliance standards.
