Procurement Specialist Consumables

As the Procurement Specialist Consumables in the organizational unit Engine Material Procurement, you plan and source material from a portfolio of suppliers in accordance with existing contracts, in compliance with the procurement policy, customer-, technical-, legal requirements at economical favorable terms and conditions and within the required quality standards.

Your responsibilities:

• To define and implement metrics and KPIs of procurement activities
• To monitor & report on budget-/spend levels and supplier performance
• To handle discrepancies of the supplied material regarding quantity, quality and price
• To issue, track, trace and control all purchase orders in SAP with support of B2B tool where applicable
• To implement and maintain documentation about suppliers and obtain the appropriate quality documents
• To work on alternate solutions for material in order to meet customer / production demand
• To plan and calculate forecasted material requirements economically to meet customer / production demand
• To ensure economic and efficient sourcing of material as per contractual-, technical-, customer-, and engineering specifications
• To manage suppliers as per individual (contractual) scope and at the same time comply with company, regulatory, commercial and technical requirements
• To define and implement metrics for material handling and flow
• To ensure performance management of suppliers
• To handle discrepancies of the supplied material regarding quantity, quality and price
• To monitor and maintain material and supplier data in SAP
• To apply economic methods and lean processes for the improvement and simplification of procurement activities

Your profile:

To fulfill this position successfully, your qualifications must include:

• Business Administration background
• Professional experience in technical environment
• Professional experience in Purchasing / Supply Chain
• SAP desirable
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Language skills: English C1, German Level B1 - desirable
