Our Human Machine Interface (HMI) business unit makes that drivers and passengers are optimally informed and can control functions in a user friendly way. Developing solutions from instrument clusters, head-up displays and displays solutions, through to control panels, central input devices, and morphing controls, HMI makes the processing and management of information easy, intuitive and reliable.
JOB DESCRIPTION
With this role you will be part of PDC IDD (Product Development Center Input Devices and Displays) in business unit HMI. You will work in an international team, joining technology specific trainings, being involved in a wide product range with different display sizes and different customers working with the latest technologies on the market.
In your day to day job you will:
- Be responsible to develop a technical concept for the product to be developed based on the customer and internal requirements, together with the discipline architects
- Ensure the technical feasibility of the solution incl. manufacturability in compliance with requirements and attainment of targets for costs, time schedule, risk, and quality
- Ensure the compliance with legal and internal requirements (e.g. platform concept for embedded controller, standard components or similar) and Customer Standards
- Coordinate the interfaces between SW-, EE- and ME-development, focusing on potential conflicts and cross-discipline impacts between the individual solutions
- File the system architecture-related documents in the configuration management system
- Ensure the availability of a D-FMEA Facilitator and a clear understanding of his responsibilities in the project
QUALIFICATIONS
- University Degree (e.g. Automation and Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics)
- At least 3 years of experience in a technical field (EE, ME, SE, SW)
- Good capability to coordinate a team of technical architects from different disciplines (EE, ME, SW)
- Good understanding of Systems Engineering techniques (e.g. functional decomposition)
- Good knowledge of the product components (electrical engineering, software, mechanical engineering)
- Knowledge of development (all disciplines), test, integration and production (sample and final product) processes
- Understanding of the customers and users’ needs and problems
- Capability to analyze technical problems in a structured approach
- Capability to take initiative;
- Very good communication skills (with customer, internal, etc.) and fluent in English
- Experience in developing display products (TFT, OLED, backlight, touch system) would be a major advantage
- Experience in MBSE (model-based systems engineering) methodologies would be an advantage
