About the team
The FCM / Data Solutions Horizontal Enablement team is responsible for enhancing our Financial Close Management offering and contributing to our larger Data Solutions strategy around modernization and system integration. The modern cloud native microservice architecture of the Horizontal Enablement platform is used to create new Verticals and serves as the modernization engine for other products. The team is global with resources in Italy, Germany, the US and India. The key challenge for this role in the team is to channel and prioritize feature requests, enhancements, bug fixes and compliance related requirements into a central backlog, coordinate delivery and handle communication to internal stakeholders.
What you will be doing
Your role would be to accelerate delivery and launch of the new platform. You would join Data Solutions team and work with Product Development and Solutions Management teams. You would write user stories, manage the backlog, communicate with stakeholders, and prioritize sprint deliverables. You would play an active role in the successful launch of a new product. Your responsibilities are:
- Understands product strategy, market, industry, and client goals.
- Working with stakeholders to understand business problem statements and convert them into user stories.
- Owning the place between development and the client
- Working in an Agile software development team
- Managing backlog of user stories for one or more products.
- Establishing user story acceptance criteria, accepts user stories, refines stories with Scrum teams.
- Articulating product vision and user stories in a manner clearly understandable to development teams.
- Leading sprint planning, Backlog refinement and Sprint review meetings. Communicate feedback on development achievements.
- Applying Agile methods and processes to promote a disciplined project management process that encourages frequent inspection and adaptation of ongoing work product.
- Monitoring the development progress and provides updates to stakeholders, as requested.
- Reviewing and providing feedback on test plans to ensure application changes meet acceptance criteria.
What you bring:
- 4+ years product development working experience in Product Owner role or similar (Product Analyst, Product Manager)
- Story Writing (structure incl. Acceptance Criteria)
- Documenting and Prioritizing Business Requirements
- Diligence – have enough prepared backlog ready for grooming sessions, follow-up on conversations in Sprint Reviews
- Presentation skills (run engaging backlog grooming and refinement meetings)
- Some technical skills to moderate basic discussions with the team
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer science/Engineering/Management/Business/Economics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g., executive, management, individual contributors) in English
- Positive outlook, strong work ethic, and responsive to internal and external clients and contacts
- Strong negotiation, organization, management, analytical and people skills
