PRODUCTION AND MATERIAL PLANNER
Job description:
1. Process Responsibility
- Plans, organizes and ensures the accurate and timely processing of planned and production orders and detailed production schedule on machine level under consideration of defined goals (meet customer wish date, minimize production change-over time and change-over quantities, minimize inventories).
- Updates scheduling changes, date changes, quantity changes and cancellations for finished goods in both SAP and MES (and/or planning board).
- Confirms customer orders and delivery dates within defined period of time.
- Creates SAP purchase orders for raw materials and other components.
- Monitors, closes and completes production orders (incl. re-pack, re-work and re-label activities).
- Monitors and steers demand and supply situation for raw material, supplies and finished goods.
- Develops and manages inventory targets for finished goods, raw materials and packaging supply.
2. Communication
- Promptly responses to Customer Service and Marketing/Sales inquiries.
- Works and interacts closely with operations, production preparation, product/packaging expert, D&S, warehouse, purchasing, site controlling and other functions.
- Liaises with G-SCM Process Owner for Production Steering and Material Management
3. Stock Management
- Monitors the stocks.
- Initiates commissioning and provision of goods in due time.
- Communicates all delays or variances in inbound/outbound freight and internal supply to the appropriate parties.
- Improves processes and exchanges know-how with global functions and other sites.
4. Continuous improvement Process
- Analyzes available capacities and recommends long term changes to support business needs.
- Takes continuous actions to improve planning performance, to increase production productivity and efficiency and to reduce delivery times
5. Master Data
- Validates and maintains the integrity of all production and planning relevant master data on plant level in SAP and MES (and/or planning board).
6. Key user tasks
- Cross-trains and serves as a backup to other colleagues.
- Transfers know-how to other PP-sites.
- Coordinates and executes system failure analysis and IT tests, 1st level support for other users within the location.
7. Reporting
- Prepares statistics and key performance indicators.
8. Lean Manufacturing
- Helps in design processes according to the principle of Lean Manufacturing and sees to it that these are implemented.
- Ensures a common understanding of Lean Manufacturing in his/her daily job.
- Takes part in advanced training courses on a regular basis
9. GMP
- Follows current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP)
Requirements:
- Process and result oriented, practical, analytical thinking
- Initiative, ability to work in a team
- Language skills: English (proficiency, relevant technical language), other language skills can be an advantage
- IT skills: relevant SAP modules, MS Office applications
