Purchase Officer

Description:

•    Report hierarchically and functionally to the Construction Manager
•    Receive and compile purchase requests (PR) from all requesters.
•    Issue the “Request for Quotation” to suppliers.
•    Receive quotations, compare technical and commercial offers, negotiate with suppliers and advice on best supplier.
•    Confirm the supplier selection with the requester. 
•    Create the purchase order (PO).
•    Organize the transport of goods from suppliers’ shop to the Site, manage the purchaser driver in accordance with the department needs. Assistance from Plant team shall be provided when a special vehicles is needed.
•    Control that all items from a PR are purchased. If goods are not available locally, advise the requester as early as possible to allow finding alternatives. 
•    Deal with suppliers in case of discrepancy between delivery and PO, or materials quality issues, or wrong invoices. The purchaser will be informed and assisted by the storekeeper and the cost control on that part.
•    Establish and update the list of common local suppliers indicating agreed payment terms and giving an evaluation based on criteria to be defined with the Purchase Responsible. 
•    Compile receive vouchers going from store to account department on a daily basis.
•    Perform all administrative tasks of the procurement department.

Requirements:

III / IV level degree, economic, business or other appropriate, 3 years of work experience in the same or similar work, organizational skills, knowledge of English language.
