Recruitment Officer`s primary role is to participate in the full cycle of a recruitment process and administrative aspects, ensuring that recruitment takes place in accordance with the relevant guidelines, procedures and ethical rules.

The ICRC Belgrade Shared Services Center (BSSC) provides support services to the ICRC worldwide operations and is currently looking for a suitable candidate to fill the following position: 

Recruitment Officer

(Location Belgrade)


  • Provides support throughout the full recruitment process cycle, both at internal and external levels, and works in collaboration with various units and teams
  • Reviews job descriptions and specifications and publishes internal and external job offers
  • Evaluates candidates’ files, conducts interviews and participates in selecting candidates
  • Act as a candidates’ key contact during the recruitment process including on the outcome of their application
  • Participates in the evaluation of the recruitment activities and adjusts the action plans accordingly
  • Provides HR expertise to all levels of the organization along with the recruitment reports to team managers
  • Carries out various administrative tasks e.g. creating candidates’ files, handling employees’ records, keeping the recruitment files and candidates’ information/data up-to-date in the recruitment tools and platforms
  • Provides support in general staff administration


  • University degree in Business Administration or equivalent; degree in Human Resources or Psychology is preferable
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in HR in general and min 3 years’ experience supporting recruitment services; experience in direct sourcing will be considered an asset
  • Familiar with social security, social insurance and Labor Law of the Republic of Serbia along with a good knowledge of the local ICT job market
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint); comfortable with using Skype and MS Teams; experience in using applicant tracking system solutions
  • Ability to design and implement recruiting strategies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language, French an asset
  • Experience working in international environment; experience in the humanitarian organizations will be considered an asset
  • Very good analytical skills, able to work in a team as well as independently
  • Sense of responsibility, confidentiality and HR ethics
  • Flexible, systematic, proactive and with good relationship-building skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
