Job Summary:

XG Dynamics doo is seeking Reinforcement Learning R&D Engineer. This role offers the flexibility of working either onsite in Belgrade, Serbia, or remotely, with periodic travel to Belgrade required. The ideal candidate will have at least a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field and be familiar with existing RL and ML libraries (e.g. Open AI GYM, stable-baselines, PyTorch, Tensor Flow, scikit learn, …). Experience with Cyber security and networking data is a big plus. This will be a dynamic role and will focus on the development of a hybrid simulation/emulation cybersecurity testbed.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Integrate with an interdisciplinary team of experts in cybersecurity and networking to enable reduction of reality gap in network model simulations
2. Stay up to date with the latest advancements in reinforcement learning and implement best practices to enhance our ML infrastructure
3. Develop and implement feedback mechanisms to continuously improve the accuracy and effectiveness of RL models
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable solutions
5. Communicate complex technical concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders clearly
6. Engage in ongoing testbed research and participate in publications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree is advance)
• In-depth knowledge of RL concepts and requirements for an effective simulation environment
• Familiar with existing RL and ML libraries (e.g. Open AI GYM, stable-baselines, PyTorch, Tensor Flow, scikit learn, …)
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java or C++ and the ability to write efficient, clean, and maintainable code
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Experience implementing reinforcement learning in complex domains – preferably with cybersercurity or network analysis focus
• Proficiency in English
