Safety Officer

AAA  Freight is looking for a motivated, responsible and reliable individual to join our team as a Safety Officer.

Job description

• Monitor and review driving behavior reports and video events.
• Analyze driver performance, identify risky behaviors, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Contact drivers regarding violations and unsafe driving practices and provide coaching/education to reduce accidents and violations and improve overall performance.
• Document and report safety violations, trends, and driver improvement progress.
• Conduct ongoing driver safety training sessions and provide feedback to improve road performance.
• Serve as after-hours safety support, handling urgent safety-related calls, incidents, and compliance issues.
• Assist in developing safety policies, procedures, and preventative strategies to reduce incidents.
• Collaborate with dispatch, operations, and management to ensure company-wide safety goals are achieved.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
