We are looking for a Senior Accountant

Key responsibilities:

They are responsible for preparing financial statements, analysing financial data, reconciling accounts, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. 

• Conduct and review day-to-day financial operations, including billing, AP/AR reconciliation and payments
• Preparation of financial statements and tax filings
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timelines
• Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency
• Taking an active part or leading role in representing finance in projects within the company
• Assist with audits and tax filings as required to ensure compliance
• Stay updated on industry trends, accounting principles, and best practices to ensure continuous improvement

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a senior accountant or similar role, with at least 5 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree in economics or related field
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Experience with ERP solutions (MS Dynamics, SAP) preferred
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Serbian
