Leveraging unique manufacturing processes and advanced production technology, SCHOTT is looking to set up its operations in Serbia by introducing a wholly new business line to the Serbian market.

To support their plant development in Central Serbia, we are actively seeking a seasoned and ambitious professional for the role of:

Senior Accounting Specialist
(Jagodina)

• Oversees all financial operations and payments to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  Manages the monthly closing process and prepares necessary reports for the management team.
  Verifies tax calculations (property, VAT, transport, land, etc.) and ensures timely tax payments.
  Collaborates with tax authorities for inspections and support requests.
  Ensures compliance with tax payments and financial regulations.
• Supervises the activities and performance of the Accounting Department.
  Oversees the preparation of statistical and informational reports for local authorities and management.
  Develops and updates policies and internal regulations based on corporate changes and legislative requirements.
  Manages salary calculations, taxes, and payroll-related payments.
  External Economic Activities and Banking
• Oversees external economic activities, including bank currency control, calculations, and tax payments related to foreign economic activities.
  Coordinates with banks on current matters, including preparing signature samples for bank cards.
• Collaborates with external and internal auditors.
  Works with the financial controller on product costs, controlling, and expense distribution.
  Organizes and controls the registration and updating of mandatory documentation 
• Implements, trains, monitors, and executes tasks in compliance with approved procedures 
  Develops and implements processes in accounting and local in accordance with global quality system.

Requirements:

• University degree and specialty in Finance and Accounting
• 4 years minimum of experience in accounting
• Good command of the English language
• Proficiency in SAP FI is an advantage, must in MS Office
