About You.
You are an experienced Front End Developer who has already worked on web based projects and has teamwork experience. Working closely with business and product owners, creative designers and back end developers, you'll be involved from the early stages to the release of new products, features and beyond. More than just coding, you have a passion for product as well, and should be engaging with all stakeholders to ensure the best product for the end user. You will be responsible for working with various teams and translating product requirements into functional apps and pages on both our mobile and desktop web sites.
A passion for solving business problems and exceeding expectations, through the development of leading edge disruptive technologies, is extremely desired.
Required experience.
- 3+ years’ experience in front-end web development
- Expert knowledge of JavaScript concepts, HTML5 and CSS3
- Experience with Sass or other compiled CSS languages
- Experience with Webpack
- Experience translating wireframes into semantically correct web templates
- Experience with source/version control software is a plus e.g.: GIT
- Familiarity with any server-side programming language is a plus
- Experience in working with RESTful services is a plus
Key competencies.
- Knowledge of jQuery & vanilla JS
- Knowledge of responsive and adaptive design principles and translating into fluid and responsive templates
- Strong working knowledge developing cross platform/browser compatibility (IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera, etc.) for dynamic web applications
- Familiarity with and adherence to web standards and best practices for load time reduction and accessibility
- Knowledge of SEO best practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field
Responsibilities.
- Writing code quality according to accepted standards, market and business strategy products
- Development, implementation and improvement of WM products
- Continuous personal and professional improvement
- Architecture development: defining of project structure, defining of libraries used in applications, participating in defining API with backend developers
- Programming: writing of maintainable code, documenting and commenting code, implementation of libraries, deployment of applications, analysis of bugs during the project lifecycle
- Estimating the time needed for the phases of projects to be completed
- Mentoring of junior colleagues and sharing one’s knowledge
