We are looking for a Senior Python Engineer to join Bytex and help one of our clients build a GeoAI platform for data scientists. The ideal candidate should have excellent development skills with Python and Backend ecosystems.
Responsibilities
- Designing and building new features with Python;
- REST API design and implementation, generally for consumption by other internal services or internal users (e.g. other engineers, data scientists);
- 3rd party API integration (e.g. data pulling from GCP Vertex for Salesforce and/or SAP);
- Deploying, testing and monitoring your Python services in GCP.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience with Python;
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL or similar relational databases (DuckDB is a plus);
- Solid experience working with GCP, AWS or similar;
- Solid experience with Flask/FastAPI or similar.
- Practical experience using Pulumi for IaC (Infrastructure-as-Code);
- Experience working with geospatial data is a nice-to-have;
- Experience with machine learning is also a nice-to-have.
Working schedule
- EU flexible schedule (9-18 CET/EEST);
- Weekly sprint meetings at 17:00 EEST (Monday, Tuesday and Friday).

- 1-2h technical discussion with the customer (direct colleague)
