Separation Recovery Unit (SRU) Operator

Dundee Precious Metals is a Canadian-based, international mining company engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development, mining, and processing of precious metals properties. DPM operates across Serbia, Bulgaria, and Ecuador with headquarters in Toronto, Canada.

For the needs of our Exploration department in Bor, we are currently looking to recruit a candidate for the Separation Recovery Unit (SRU) Operator position.

Role Purpose:

The main role of the SRU Operator will be to provide a field support to exploration team ensuring tasks are conducted in a safe, consistent, and reliable manner. Works in team environment. 

 Description of responsibilities:

• Operating the SRU machine at the field on the drill mud purification process at all weather conditions;
• Prevent the SRU machine from getting stuck, and maintain availability of the unit;
• Clean up if spillage occurs outside of hoppers or containment areas;
• Maintain work records, keep equipment in an orderly condition, and recommend improvements;
• Complete any other task which is required on the drill mud purification process;  
• Ensure that all field work is performed safely, timely and responsibly; 
• Collecting of geochemical samples (stream, rock, soil) at the field;
• Assist on trenching - cleaning, marking, sampling and other related activities;
• Support during geophysical surveys;
• Assist in site preparations and rehabilitations on the field; 
• Processing of drill core samples – photographing, cutting, logging, recording, sampling;

Requirements:

• Minimum High school education – mechanical or technical department degree is an advantage;
• Experience with Separation and Recovery units for water or drill mud - is an advantage;
• Possess ability to analyse and understand mechanical and equipment information;
• Strong drives to maximize production and improve the circuit operations;
• Strong drive and personal sense of ownership and accountability for circuit operations;
• Ensures work area is clean and all hazards are recognized;
• Ability to work and manage problems/actions across the timeframe of one shift;
• Good verbal and written communication skills;
• Be diligent and thorough in approach;
• Good English language skills - is an advantage.
