BioSense Institute, a research and development Institute for information technologies in biosystems, was founded in 2015 and is a pioneer in the digital transformation of agriculture in Serbia. By exploring the scientific and technological frontiers of innovative IT applications in agriculture, the Institute strives to provide both the Serbian and global agricultural sectors with superior digital solutions to achieve higher yields with less investment. Its most prominent project, ANTARES (H2020), supported by the European Commission and the Republic of Serbia, has enabled BioSense to become a leading Center of Excellence for advanced technologies in sustainable agriculture. The new building of BioSense Institute, with expanded capacities and highly sophisticated equipment, facilitates the implementation of cutting-edge projects applicable on a global scale.
Institute’s Center for Product Development provides high-tech solutions for economy and state institutions based on the Institute's scientific results. These solutions, originating from the fields of IoT, GIS, and satellite technologies, enhance the competitiveness of domestic companies and the efficiency of public administration, thereby actively accelerating the digital transformation of Serbian and European agriculture.

Software Developer
Expected skills and experience:
- Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
- Desirable: Android, Java, Angular and AngularJS
- Desirable: Spring, Hibernate and Enterprise JavaBeans
- Desirable: OpenLayers and PostGis
- Familiarity with Scrum methodology
- Desirable: web services and integration with external systems is a plus
- Knowledge of Git, Maven and/or Gradle
- Knowledge of GIS systems is a plus
Your responsibilities:
- Creatively solving complex problems
- Writing high-performance, scalable, reusable code
- Driving a code review driven culture to encourage quality development
- Working closely with clients and project managers in order to set project priorities and make scoping decisions
- Contributing to internal initiatives such as the improvement of our development processes
