As a Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing end-to-end supply chain strategies, managing suppliers, overseeing logistics, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will choose and guide a team of professionals and play a key role in achieving efficiency, reliability, and competitiveness within the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

1. Strategic supply chain management

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies tailored to automotive manufacturing requirements
• Ensure alignment with production schedules, OEM customer timelines, and quality standards (IATF 16949)

2. Procurement and supplier management

• Source and manage Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers for components, raw materials, and services
• Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular audits

3. Inventory and materials management

• Oversee inventory control, safety stock levels, and materials planning using MRP systems
• Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to ensure continuous material flow and minimal disruptions

4. Logistics and distribution

• Manage inbound and outbound logistics including transportation, customs clearance, and warehouse operations
• Optimize routes, reduce freight costs, and secure Just-in-Time and Just-in-Sequence deliveries to production lines and OEMs

5. Demand forecasting and production planning support

• Work closely with production, quality, and sales teams to create accurate demand forecasts
• Adjust procurement and logistics plans in response to changes in production or supply disruptions

6. Compliance and risk mitigation

• Ensure compliance with automotive industry regulations and standards (IATF 16949, ISO 14001)
• Identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to maintain production continuity

7. Team leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supply chain professionals
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and operational excellence

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, logistics, or related field
• Master’s degree would be a plus
• 5–10 years of experience in automotive supply chain or logistics management
• Strong knowledge of automotive industry standards and practices (APQP, PPAP, IATF 16949)
• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, QAD, Oracle)
• Experience with Just-in-Time, Just-in-Sequence, Kanban, and lean manufacturing principles
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
• Proven leadership and team development abilities
