The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for making sure that all forecasts are received, registered and matched with firm demand. S/He ensures that goods are sourced according to an agreed plan. S/He is responsible for a site or a group of sites supply chain planning process. S/He monitors JDE parameters, sets buffer stock and designs the supply network at site level.
The Belgrade Shared Services Center is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the following position:
Supply Chain Planner
(location: 70% Belgrade – 30% Travel)
MAIN TASKS
- Monitors material resources planning (MRP) suggestions, analyses supply and demand and makes appropriate recommendations to improve forecasting accuracy
- Decides how orders should be filled based on the site stocking strategy for each category, priorities identified in coordination with staff requesting services and the logistics team and flow optimization techniques (consolidating orders or making partial deliveries)
- Based on the MRP system, creates draft order purchase, order transfers, order inter-sites and work orders
- Sets and updates the MRP system parameters and item settings in JD Edwards software (lead time, planner number, planning code, order-policy code, etc.)
- Leads the demand-planning process for the site and its associated sub-sites; indirectly contributes to the site’s sourcing plan
- Contributes to defining the site’s supply network
- Being responsible for the site’s consolidated demand figures and proposes and monitors buffer stock
- Provides direction to purchasing, transport and warehousing staff in the site so they can optimize their work as well as raises awareness of the costs associated with the site’s stock-management policy and the benefits of good planning and forecasting
- Contributes to setting stock-management policy for the country, aligning it with the work of the Regional Supply-Chain Planner and ensuring that operational constraints are considered
- Contributes to setting regional stock-management policy
REQUIRED PROFILE
- Master’s degree in Logistics, Administration or equivalent
- Previous experience in planning within a Supply Chain Logistics department along with good knowledge of the supply chain
- Experience/Background in the medical sector is an asset
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Computer literacy, good knowledge of MS Office
- Solid knowledge of ERP systems
ASSETS
- Knowledge of French or Spanish is an asset
- Knowledge of Business intelligence (BI) tools like Tableau
