Position Overview

The Track and Trace Coordinator is responsible for monitoring the movement of shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely and accurate updates are communicated to internal teams, carriers, and customers. This role is crucial in maintaining service reliability, resolving shipment delays, and supporting proactive issue management across all freight modes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Monitor, update, and maintain accurate shipment status in TMS or internal systems across truckload, intermodal, ocean, or air shipments.
2. Communicate proactively with carriers, drivers, and warehouse partners to confirm pickup, transit, and delivery milestones.
3. Provide regular status updates and exception alerts to customer service, operations, and account management teams.
4. Identify delays, disruptions, or service failures and escalate them for resolution.
5. Ensure on-time pickup and delivery performance by conducting timely check calls or system checks.
6. Record and report detention, layovers, service failures, or accessorial issues as needed.
7. Coordinate with dispatch and customer service teams to re-route or reschedule loads if needed.
8. Maintain records for audits, KPI tracking, and carrier scorecards.
9. Assist in daily reporting and ensure all tracking data is up to date and accurate.

Qualifications

• English level B2+
• 1–3 years experience in transportation, logistics, or dispatch preferred.
• Familiarity with TMS platforms (e.g., Alvys, McLeod, Princeton, FourKites) is a plus.
• Strong communication skills—verbal and written.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Proactive problem solver with a sense of urgency and accountability.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic Excel and Microsoft Office knowledge for reporting purposes.
