Duties:
- Implements and enforces policies and procedures related to occupational health and safety, as well as fire protection in accordance with laws, standards, and the company's internal regulations
- Development, implementation, and maintenance of Health & Safety and Fire Protection policies, procedures, and plans in compliance with legal requirements and standards (e.g., ISO 45001)
- Monitoring compliance with relevant occupational health and safety (OHS) and fire protection laws and regulations
- Managing the Health & Safety team
- Cooperation with government inspections and external auditors during audits and inspections
- Development and implementation of strategies to reduce operational costs and risks
- Promoting safety awareness among all employees
- Ensuring that contractors adhere to all safety measures on the site
- Collaboration with the client’s HSE coordinator regarding site services, safety, and emergency response teams
- Organizing and conducting training for employees
- Encouraging all employees to identify and report hazards
- Preparing and maintaining documentation and records in accordance with legal and internal requirements
- Investigating and analyzing incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions
- Coordinating evacuation plans, drills, and inspections of fire protection systems and equipment
- Preparing reports and KPIs related to H&S and fire protection and regularly reporting to management
- Participating in risk assessments and implementing measures for risk reduction
- Proposing and leading projects for the improvement of Health and Safety and Fire protection systems.
- Performing other tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor, in line with the job description.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor/Master degree – in natural or technical sciences, such as Faculty of Technical Sciences, Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or other related fields in natural or technical sciences.
- Minimum of 7 years on position of H&S Manager, ie. of managerial experience in leading H&S activities within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Excellent knowledge of current occupational health and safety (OHS) and fire protection (FP) regulations
- Professional (license) Certificate of Occupational Health and Safety
- Professional (license) Certificate in Fire Protection.
- Certificates related to ISO 45001 (or experience in implementing/maintaining such systems).
- Additional training in the field of Health & Safety (e.g., internal auditor, HAZOP, NEBOSH, etc.)
- MC Office - excel, word, power point – Advanced level
- English language: advanced level
- Ability to conduct risk analysis and implement preventive measures.
