Adecco, on behalf of our client - a global leader in logistics and supply chain solutions, specializing in sea freight, air freight, contract logistics, and overland services - is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant Team Lead to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Corporate Finance and Accounting Guidelines, maintaining accurate financial reporting, and safeguarding company assets. As a people leader, you will also play a key role in team development and operational success.

Key Responsibilities:
- Implement procedures to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of financial information
- Identify control gaps, assess risks, and recommend improvements to strengthen the Internal Control System (ICS)
- Monitor financial KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinate daily operations within the Accounting and Reporting department, ensuring all month-end and year-end reporting is completed accurately and on time
- Ensure alignment with IFRS and internal Corporate Accounting and Finance policies
- Maintain complete financial records and manage audits and reconciliations
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation and process optimizations
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial documents and reporting
- Ensure timely submission of statutory accounts across all entities in scope
- Finalize tax computations and maintain monthly tax/statutory books through proper adjustment entries
- Prepare, review, and analyze Statutory Financial Statements, including explanatory notes for both internal and external parties
- Manage relationships with external consultants and audit firms
- Achieve accounting HR objectives by recruiting, onboarding, and supporting team members
- Develop and guide team performance through clear goals, regular feedback, and ongoing training
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate year-end closing
- Assist in reconciling intercompany transactions and supporting the transfer pricing process for relevant countries
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Economics (or another relevant area of study)
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CIA is preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in leading an accounting team within a multinational environment, with a strong background in accounting and financial reporting
- Strong understanding of IFRS and local tax regulations
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Proven experience in people management and team leadership
- Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with IT tools used in finance operations
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills with a proactive and solution-oriented approach
