Accountant

As an Accountant, you will play an important role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of accounting processes. You will be responsible for maintaining cash reconciliations, managing prepaid expenses, and supporting accurate financial reporting, while continuously improving processes and collaborating across teams.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Cash reconciliations and monitoring:

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of cash accounts
• Review cash balances weekly and coordinate with other teams to ensure transactions are properly recorded.

Prepaid Expense Management:

• Record prepaid expenses and ensure amortization schedules are properly set up
• Reconcile prepaid accounts and monitor future amortization schedules
• Complete and review prepaid reconciliations to ensure accuracy

Recording Other Assigned Transactions:

• Record other general ledger transactions as assigned

Accounting Principles and Efficiency:

• Apply accounting principles related to cash recognition, amortization, and related areas
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Assist with accounting audits and participate in projects focused on improving general ledger processes

Collaboration and Communication:

• Build and maintain effective working relationships across departments including business unit operations, accounting, and other internal stakeholders
• Provide clear and consistent financial reports for management and decision-making
• Respond promptly to inquiries and process entries in line with reporting timelines

Accountability & Adaptability:

• Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and deliver accurate, timely results
• Collaborate with team members to meet monthly reporting goals
• Adapt to changes in a mergers and acquisitions environment, supporting integration of new business units
• Identify challenges, propose practical solutions, and follow through to completion

What we expect from you:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Some prior experience in general ledger accounting or a similar role
• Understanding of corporate month-end close processes
• Proficiency in Excel 
• Willingness to work afternoon shifts (2 pm - 10 pm, 3 pm - 11 pm)
