NIDEC ELESYS EUROPE in Novi Sad will produce inverters and other electronic control systems for electric and hybrid vehicles. 

For our manufacturing site based in Novi Sad, we are looking for an 

Accountant 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization;
  • Prepares monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements;
  • Maintains the general ledger;
  • Processing of primary documentation - suppliers and customers in RSD and foreign currency;
  • General ledger transactions, payroll transactions, transactions related to petty cash;
  • Processing bank payments; Preparing payments;
  • Book-keeping the company's fixed assets;
  • Preparing reports and notes related to the operational activity; Reconciliation customers and suppliers;
  • Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books;
  • Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
  • Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manages accounts receivable collections;
  • Verifies and/or completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts;
  • Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit;
  • Files tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies;
  • Coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software systems; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software;
  • Manages the purchasing and invoicing system;
  • Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.

Required personal and professional skills:

  • University degree (MSc, BSc) in Economics.
  • 3 or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
  • Experience in production companies.
  • Experience in international company would be considered as an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written English language communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to correctly prepare tax reports.
  • Computer literacy - accounting software, SAP knowledge is an advantage,
  • Microsoft Office proficiency: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
