For our office in Belgrade, we are looking for:

Accounting & Tax Manager (m/f)

Key Accountabilities:

Accounting

• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP.
• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
• Coordinate and oversee accounting activities for Sarantis d.o.o. Belgrade, Sarantis d.o.o. Ljubljana, and Sarantis d.o.o. Zagreb, ensuring accuracy and compliance across entities.
• Coordinate with auditors and manage the annual audit process.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure full compliance with company policies and procedures.

Tax

• Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns (VAT, CIT, WHT, etc.)
•  Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their potential impact on business operations.
• Manage tax audits and serve as the primary contact for tax authorities.
• Provide tax planning and advisory support, identifying opportunities for tax optimization.
• Ensure complete and compliant transfer pricing documentation.

Leadership

• Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and collaboration.
• Collaborate closely with Legal, Operations, HR, and other departments to ensure financial consistency and alignment.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to guide informed business decisions.

Candidate profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a regional role.
• Certified Accountant qualification (or equivalent professional certification).
• Proven experience working with SAP (preferably in FI/CO modules) or another leading ERP system; ability to leverage system capabilities for process improvement and reporting accuracy.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and local GAAP requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, organize, and mentor accounting teams, fostering collaboration and high performance.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and solid knowledge of Microsoft Office application
