Job Description:
Our client, a large international production company, is seeking an Automation Engineer to support automation initiatives and operational improvements. The candidate will be responsible for managing automated systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and contributing to process optimization projects. Responsibilities:
- Prepare specifications and technical requirements for production equipment
- Install, test, and optimize automated manufacturing systems
- Modify and adjust control programs for production machinery
- Support engineering teams during equipment selection and implementation
- Commission new equipment and validate system performance
- Program PLCs using common industrial platforms
- Configure drives, motors, and control components
- Develop operator interface screens and visualization systems
- Set up and maintain industrial communication networks
- Collaborate with maintenance teams, external vendors, and internal departments
- Provide technical guidance to production teams regarding automation systems
- Actively monitor developments in automation technology and industry best practices
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree in Engineering, Automation, Electronics, or related technical field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in automation or controls engineering
- Excellent knowledge of PLC programming and industrial automation systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to verify accuracy of technical data
- Experience with SCADA systems is an advantage but not required
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and providing recommendations
- Developed organizational skills and ability to effectively manage deadlines and priorities
- English language proficiency
