Nidec Electric Motor Serbia was established in Serbia in 2021. 

Chief Accountant

We are looking for:

  • Experienced accounting professional with a proactive approach and high visibility in the organization
  • A detail-oriented person with strong leadership skills
  • Responsible person dedicated to reinforcement of company financial position

Your responsibilities:

  • Supervising and coordinating accounting team
  • Coordinating preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant international and local accounting standards
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing process, including reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments
  • Maintain the integrity of the General Ledger (GL), ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and classified
  • Supervise and manage the Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Inventory and fixed assets accounting
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll in coordination with the HR department
  • Manage bank reconciliations and maintain optimal cash flow reporting
  • Ensure strict adherence to local tax regulations (VAT, corporate income tax, etc.) and timely filing of all required tax returns.
  • Coordinate and manage external audits, serving as the primary liaison.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure reliability of financial data.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting principles and regulatory requirements

Our requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the same or similar accounting roles
  • Professional accounting certification would be considered as advantage
  • Knowledge of local and international accounting regulations and standards
  • Strong proficiency with SAP systems and advanced Excel skills
  • Solid understanding of cost accounting principles specific to production/inventory
  • Experience in manufacturing companies is an advantage (not a requirement)
  • Advanced knowledge of English
