Communication, Digital Marketing, and Public Relations Officer

DESCRIPTION

Mandat International is looking for an enthusiastic and qualified Communication, Digital Marketing, and Public Relations officer (one position) with an excellent level of English to support the outreach and communication activities of European research projects. We offer a multi-disciplinary and highly stimulating work environment where you will be working in close cooperation with top research teams, industry professionals, and other stakeholders. Mandat International is based in Geneva and offers remote and flexible work opportunities for candidates based in Europe, part time (50%) or full time (100%).

DUTIES

• Setting up communication strategies and organizing communication campaigns
• Disseminating information through social media, project websites, and online newsletters
• Writing social media posts and communication
• Supporting outreach, communication, and dissemination activities of European research projects
• Organizing conferences, workshops, webinars, and dissemination events
• Promotion of events and services through social media and other channels
• Video recording (i.e., interviews, events) and editing
• Writing, reviewing, and editing publications and deliverables in English
• Contacting and engaging with journalists and media
• Updating and managing webpages and website content

REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

• Formal qualification, ideally Master’s degree, in relevant field (i.e., communications, marketing, journalism, international relations, etc.)
• 1-3 years of relevant professional work experience
• Excellent level of English (C1), both written and spoken
• Experience with social media communications and website content management systems
• Strong interest in international cooperation and innovative technologies
• Capacity to work autonomously and in a team
• Sense of responsibility and strong attention to details

Desired (not required but a plus):

• Prior experience working with European research projects
• Experience working with journalists and other media
• Knowledge of French or Italian
• Ability to use Adobe Suite, in particular Adobe Illustrator, and/or other design applications
• Experience with WordPress and/or Drupal and languages such as PHP and HTML5
