Job requirements:
The Legal Officer provides day‑to‑day legal and compliance support, ensuring the company operates in line with applicable laws, internal policies, and corporate standards while enabling smooth business operations.
Key responsibilities:
Contract Management
- Draft, review, negotiate and proofread commercial agreements (e.g., distribution, sales, procurement).
- Ensure contracts meet legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements.
HR Legal Support
- Advise on employment law, internal policies, and HR‑related legal questions.
- Support HR with preparing and managing employment documentation and handling labour‑law issues.
Compliance
- Support implementation and ongoing monitoring of GDPR, Whistleblowing system, and Code of Conduct.
- Contribute to compliance training for employees and support other compliance‑related tasks.
- Cooperate with supervisory authorities when needed.
- Implement internal group policies at the local level and ensure compliance with corporate standards.
- Regularly monitor and assess changes in relevant legislation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local laws and sector‑specific regulations
- Compliance reporting to regional headquarters
Government & Regulatory Procedures
- Support filings, reporting, and communication with state authorities, including permits and licenses.
- Assist in handling inspections and complex administrative procedures.
Candidate profile:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in law
- 3+ years of relevant experience in a legal, compliance, or regulatory role (experiences in home-appliance industry is a plus)
- Strong ability to work independently while also being an engaged, collaborative team player.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional judgment
- Practical, solution-oriented approach to problem solving.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present information clearly.
- Fluent in English and Serbian is a must; additional languages are an advantage.
- Excellent command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
