Job requirements:

The Legal Officer provides day‑to‑day legal and compliance support, ensuring the company operates in line with applicable laws, internal policies, and corporate standards while enabling smooth business operations.

Key responsibilities:

Contract Management

  • Draft, review, negotiate and proofread commercial agreements (e.g., distribution, sales, procurement).
  • Ensure contracts meet legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements.

HR Legal Support

  • Advise on employment law, internal policies, and HR‑related legal questions.
  • Support HR with preparing and managing employment documentation and handling labour‑law issues.

Compliance

  • Support implementation and ongoing monitoring of GDPR, Whistleblowing system, and Code of Conduct.
  • Contribute to compliance training for employees and support other compliance‑related tasks.
  • Cooperate with supervisory authorities when needed.
  • Implement internal group policies at the local level and ensure compliance with corporate standards.
  • Regularly monitor and assess changes in relevant legislation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local laws and sector‑specific regulations
  • Compliance reporting to regional headquarters

Government & Regulatory Procedures

  • Support filings, reporting, and communication with state authorities, including permits and licenses.
  • Assist in handling inspections and complex administrative procedures.

Candidate profile:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in law
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a legal, compliance, or regulatory role (experiences in home-appliance industry is a plus)
  • Strong ability to work independently while also being an engaged, collaborative team player.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional judgment
  • Practical, solution-oriented approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present information clearly.
  • Fluent in English and Serbian is a must; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Excellent command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
