We are looking for a Belgrade-based Digital Account Manager to join the Academia and Government Sales Team for West, South, and North EMEA.

This is an amazing opportunity to manage Clarivate’s Academia and Government revenue across assigned accounts and territories in France, with responsibilities that include driving new business from customers and prospects.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales with a proven record in developing new business and managing existing customers
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or at least 4 years of equivalent relevant experience
  • Proficient in French with strong writing skills
  • Proficient in English

  • Knowledge of formalized sales techniques and methodologies relevant to the industry
  • Ability to clearly and compellingly articulate value proposition for products and respond to inquiries about product functionality
  • Interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Sales negotiation skills, with experience influencing and selling to the executive-level decision makers
  • Understanding of the academic clients and ecosystem in France
  • Previous experience in Academia and Government sector
  • Experience with Salesforce and Microsoft Office package
  • Experience with forecasting and reporting on key sales metrics
  • Fluency in additional languages

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Own the assigned territory and coordinate individual account plans, working closely with product specialists, trainers, and renewal teams to develop an overall account plan that grows long-term revenue.
  • Influence and motivate others in a matrixed sales organization to support and drive shared goals.
  • Focus on new and renewal business to expand the company’s footprint within the account; serve as the primary point of client engagement.
  • Lead RFP coordination and development as needed, seek opportunities to unite multiple RFPs or current investments, and collaborate with product specialists as appropriate.
  • Manage the full portfolio forecast (renewals and new business), including specialty products and content; work closely with product sales managers and support teams to ensure forecast accuracy.
  • Lead content demonstrations and engage product specialists for product-specific demonstrations as appropriate.
  • Manage the overall health of the account; coordinate routine checkpoints, handle business reviews, participate in new product roadmap discussions, and engage in client meetings. Ensure the account plan makes progress and aligns with other objectives in the account.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and resolve issues, relying on product specialists for specialty product issues and working with colleagues in customer services and technical support.

About the Team

The Digital Account Manager will work closely with a large, cross-functional team, including product sales managers, renewal account managers, customer success consultants, presales consultants, regional marketing support, product managers, and more. These teams are based across the EMEA region, giving you the chance to collaborate in an international environment.

You will be part of the West, South, and North EMEA Academic and Government Sales team, reporting to the Sales Director for the region.

Team is responsible for driving all new business and renewals for Clarivate’s academic solutions and services, including research solutions such as Web of Science, library workflow SaaS platforms like Alma, and comprehensive library content such as ProQuest One collections.

Hours of Work

This is a permanent full-time position, with core engagement hours within CET time zone, with some scheduling flexibility available around core working hours.

You are expected to travel internationally up to 25% of time.

This is a hybrid position; you will be expected to work from our Belgrade office 3 days every other week.
