eCommerce Operations Specialist

Who do we need?
We are seeking an individual with a vibrant energy and a keen interest in continuous learning to join our team as an eCommerce Operations Specialist for our Berlin based partner WebBrüder. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive mindset and a willingness to dive into the operational aspects of managing our online shops, even if they're still developing their skills. We value enthusiasm and a commitment to growth over having every skill fully developed from the start.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and Update Product Listings. Take charge of adding new products, updating prices, and refreshing product information such as descriptions and images to ensure our online catalog is always accurate and compelling.
- Setup and optimize engaging Landing Pages. Utilize specified guidelines and templates to design and implement landing pages that enhance user experience and effectively promote our products and services.
- Setup and implement A/B Tests. Set up and execute A/B tests to optimize the user experience and increase conversion rates.
- Setup of Plugins within the CMS. Identify, install, and configure necessary plugins to extend the functionality of our CMS, ensuring a seamless and efficient operation of our online shops.
- Basic Image Editing. Perform simple image editing tasks such as resizing and creating collages to ensure product images are visually appealing and consistent across our platforms.
- Ensure Online Catalog Accuracy. Collaborate closely with the product team to keep the online shop up-to-date, reflecting our commitment to quality and innovation.
- Collaborate on Promotional Strategies. Work with the marketing and product teams to implement effective promotional strategies and content updates, aiming to boost sales and enhance brand visibility.
- Setup and Optimize Regular Newsletters. Set up and manage a regular newsletter schedule, crafting content that engages our audience, promotes our products, and drives traffic to our site, while continuously optimizing for open rates and conversions.
- Internationalization of the CMS. Adapting our CMS for international markets, ensuing that our online shops are accessible, relevant, and optimized for sales in various countries. This includes managing translations, localizing content, and adjusting currency and payment methods to cater to a global audience.
Possible development path
- Design content for Social media channels (static and video) and other digital advertising channels (e.g. display ad banners).
- Customer support
Requirements
- English Proficiency (B2 Level or Higher). The ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally, at a B2 level or higher, ensuring clear and efficient collaboration within our diverse team and with international partners.
- Foundational CMS Experience. While extensive experience is not a prerequisite, some familiarity with CMS platforms such as Shopify, Shopware, Wordpress, etc. and a willingness to dive deep into their functionalities will be beneficial.
- Basic Understanding of Digital Marketing Practices. A foundational grasp of key digital marketing concepts, including Buyer Personas and sales logic, to effectively tailor content and product presentations to our target audience.
- Basic Proficiency in Graphic Editing Software. Familiarity with graphic editing tools to perform tasks such as image resizing and creating collages, enhancing our product visuals and landing page designs.
- Visual Acuity for Design. A strong sense of aesthetics and the ability to produce visually appealing and coherent designs that engage and delight users.
- Creative Problem-Solving Skills. The ability to approach challenges with creativity and innovation, coupled with a proactive mindset to identify and implement effective solutions.

Preferred candidates have
- Experience in working in CMS (e.g. Shopify, Shopware)
- Experience in working on e-commerce projects
- College degree
What do we offer?
- Paid training of 600 EUR during 3 month training, Starting salary of 1000€ after successful training

What is the selection process like?
After receiving applications, we conduct an initial selection of candidates based on the job requirements. Candidates are required to send a CV.
Only candidates who pass the selection will be invited for an online interview. During this interview, they will have the opportunity to present their previous work experience and become acquainted with the standards, practices, and processes applied in our company, as well as additional details related to the position.
Candidates who pass the online interview will have a chance to come to the live interview, at our offices, where we will further explain the scope of the activities related to the position and also the short test will be done.
The final interview involves an open conversation aimed at better mutual understanding and a potential offer of engagement.
