EHS Manager

Key responsibilities:

• The EHS Manager leads the EHS team and provides collaboration with various departments to implement robust safety measures.
• The EHS Manager is responsible for adherence to Serbian regulations regarding environmental protection, workplace safety and conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain compliance.
• The EHS Manager Identifies and assess potential hazards associated with production processes and operations. The EHS Manager implement risk mitigation strategies, including safe storage and handling procedures for hazardous materials.
• The EHS Manager leads investigations into workplace incidents or near misses. The EHS Manager analyses root causes and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• The EHS Manager designs and delivers EHS training programs for all employees.
• The EHS Manager performs all activities and obligations of a professional person in accordance with the Law on Occupational Safety and Health, including:
• Develop plan of activities in the field of safety and health at work. Create (if necessary) analyze and change (if necessary) documentation in the field of health and safety e.g.: act on risk assessment, rulebook on safety and health at work, record forms in the field of health and safety, training programs, procedures, and instructions, other.
• Organize and perform necessary training to new and existing employees.
• Assess and ensure that all necessary preventive measures are in place: protective equipment, health checks if needed, attestation of working conditions, other.
• Provide regular checks at the workplaces.
• Ensure regular reporting in accordance with local legislation.
• Develop system of data gathering and reporting on work related injuries.
• Participate in all inspections.

• The EHS Manager performs all activities and obligations of a professional person in accordance with the Law on Fire Protection, including:
• Develop plan of activities in the field of Fire protection. Create (if necessary) analyse and change (if necessary) documentation e.g.: fire protection rules, evacuation plans, training programs, procedures, and instructions, other.
• Keeping records of performed periodic controls, services, and measurements.
• Organize and perform necessary training to new and existing employees.
• Participate in all inspections.
• Ensure regular reporting in accordance with local legislation.
• The EHS Manager provides continuous service of waste management, including:
• Maintaining system for keeping records about waste generated, handed over or disposed (including hazardous waste).
• Development of guidelines and instructions for waste management.
• Selection of providers of waste management services.
• Ensure regular reporting in accordance with local legislation.
• The EHS Manager provides continuous support of environmental protection function:
• Monitor or guarantee the execution of the prescribed emission measurements and the recording of their results.
• Other actions prescribed by environmental legislation and internal documents.
• The EHS Manager participates:
• in ISO 14001 and 45001 certification processes and audits.
• 10.2 in customer audits on subjects related to health and safety, fire protection, waste management and environmental issues.
• in procurement of services and equipment necessary to perform health and safety, fire protection and environmental functions.
• The Employee may also be assigned by the Employer daily performance of other assignments adequate to his educational degree.

Required qualifications and experience:

• Education: A bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field.
• Certifications: Industry-recognized certifications in EHS.
• Knowledge of Regulations: Familiarity with Serbian EHS standards and regulations.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to assess risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Proficiency in identifying hazards and developing solutions.
• Experience in EHS roles, often 3-5 years. For example, previous work as a safety officer in a manufacturing plant
• Proficient in Serbian and English, Russian is preferred;
