Finance Controller and Accounting

About the Role

SK-Pharma, a pharmaceutical company with headquarters in Tel Aviv, Israel, is seeking a hands-on Finance Controller to take ownership of the finance function for our Representative Office in Belgrade, Serbia.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys combining strategic financial oversight with day-to-day finance responsibilities. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls, and full compliance with local regulations, while supporting management with meaningful financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
2. Managing budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
3. Maintain the general ledger and perform finance reconciliations
4. Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow management
5. Prepare and submit taxes and statutory filings based on local law
6. Ensure compliance with local financial standards and regulatory requirements
7. Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, tax advisors, lawyers, and banks
8. Develop, implement, and improve financial controls, processes, and reporting systems
9. Provide financial analysis and insights to support management and business decisions
10. Direct communication with bank, tax authorities, HQ, local management
11. Monitoring and controlling accountant regarding daily payments in local SEF system and salaries taxations for 7-8 employees.

About You

1. University degree in Economics or Finance
2. Professional qualifications would be an advantage
3. Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and financial control roles
4. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and statutory compliance
5. Experience managing end-to-end finance functions
6. High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
7. Confident, proactive, and able to work independently
8. English language and advance excel knowledge are must
