Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Coordinator to support financial management, reporting, and compliance at our Baljevac manufacturing site. The role ensures adherence to Serbian accounting standards and tax regulations, while also providing accurate and timely reporting to Group Finance in Maribor. Acting as a link between local operations and Group Finance, the Finance Coordinator consolidates local financial data, prepares reports and analyses, and supports planning activities to ensure transparency and alignment with Group standards.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Reporting
- Support day-to-day financial operations, ensuring compliance with Serbian accounting standards, tax regulations, and Group reporting requirements.
- Prepare and compile balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow statements for Group Finance in Maribor.
- Provide tailored financial reports and analyses to Baljevac site management and other departments as required.
- Ensure reconciliations and documentation are complete and available for audits and reporting.
- Assist with maintaining and updating local finance policies, procedures, and records.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning
- Support the preparation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and financial planning in coordination with Group Finance.
- Monitor plant costs, preparing variance reports and cost analyses.
- Prepare background analyses and reports to assist management decision-making.
- Contribute suggestions for improving cost control and efficiency.
Coordination & Communication
- Act as a contact point between the Baljevac site and Maribor/Group Finance on financial matters.
- Consolidate accounting and cost data into reports for site and Group use.
- Collaborate with HR, Procurement, Logistics, Production, and other functions to ensure timely financial information flow.
- Provide requested analyses and financial inputs to site management.
ERP & System Support
- Support data accuracy and completeness in the ERP system (Microsoft D365/Navision or similar).
- Assist with the transition to the new ERP and provide user feedback during implementation.
- Provide user feedback and assist with digitalization initiatives.
- Willingness to learn ERP functionalities; prior experience is an advantage but not required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Serbian accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of accounting entries and financial statements.
- Experience in preparing or participating in financial reporting and audits
- Advanced Excel skills and IT literacy.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
- Fluency in Serbian and working proficiency in English (Group working language).
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in an international corporate environment.
- Exposure to ERP systems or digitalization projects.
- Experience supporting investment or business case calculations.
