Position Overview

Fabher is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst II - Manufacturing to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and interpreting financial and accounting data for various business units and products. Financial Analyst  - Manufacturing ensures the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial information, supports decision-making, and implements procedures to meet financial objectives, all in compliance with company policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).


Key Responsibilities

  1. Business Understanding
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the business with a practical application to the financial results.
  1. Manufacturing Knowledge Manufacturing
  • Develop general understanding on mill manufacturing operation, product, and customers. Basic to intermediate knowledge and experience with cost accounting and mill accounting transactions.
  1. Cost Reporting
  • Support mill daily product cost reporting and costs management reporting.
  1. Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Perform some basic to intermediate financial reporting and analysis such as building structure of reports with guidance on the need, researching the “why” for outliers in costs & production and performing mid-level SAP, reviewing of fixed cost drill downs & work orders.
  1. Profitability & Capital Projects
  • Develop basic understanding on COGP and major levers impacting profitability. Capable of evaluating some basic AFE financial returns for capital projects. Create mid-level journal entries.
  1. Month-End & Close Support
  • Support the completion of the month end, quarterly and annual close processes, ensuring timely completion of the close and producing the related reporting packs, investigating and explaining fixed cost variances.
  1. Operations Collaboration
  • Work with Operations to develop visible cost reporting KPI’s that enable active decision making.
  1. Audit Support
  • Support the annual audit process through the provision of audit schedules and analysis of results, inventory, costs, or other key performance metrics.
  1. Financial Accounting & FP&A Support
  • Provide an efficient and effective financial accounting for the mill. Ensure that an effective control environment is maintained through compliance.
  • Provide timely FP&A finance support to the accounting teams regarding productivity, demand planning, reporting, and metrics.
  1. Corporate Projects & Analysis
  • Collaborate with business leaders to develop financial targets and work on corporate projects.
  • Analyze financial results, key performance indicators (KPIs), and variances against plan or forecast to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  1. Continuous Improvement
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, assisting with the monthly/quarterly calculations of actual performance and the future periods’ forecasts.

Required Experience

  • 2+ years Financial Analyst or Accounting experience, including broad business exposure primarily in manufacturing
  • Excellent organization skills, time management, problem solving skills, and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with system enhancements and integrations
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to interact well within all departments at all levels
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (intermediate to advanced Excel skills), SAP preferred but any ERP system is acceptable
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/Business required
  • Cost accounting and Mill accounting experience a plus
