Finance Function – Financial Reporting & Budgeting Specialist

Position Summary

The Finance Function – Financial Reporting & Budgeting Specialist provides operational support in the group‑wide budgeting, financial reporting, and statutory audit processes for a diversified real estate and construction holding with multiple subsidiaries.

This role ensures the accuracy, completeness, and timely preparation of financial data used for consolidation, reporting, and audit requirements.

The Specialist collaborates closely with business units and supports the preparation of management reports, financial analyses, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Budgeting & Forecasting Support

  • Collect and compile budget inputs from subsidiaries and business units.
  • Assist in preparing the consolidated annual budget and rolling forecasts.
  • Perform basic variance analyses and provide preliminary insights for Manager review.
  • Support preparation of scenario and sensitivity analyses.

2. Financial Reporting & Consolidation Support

  • Prepare and update monthly financial reporting templates and schedules.
  • Assist with consolidation tasks, including intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and adjustments.
  • Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual group reports.
  • Maintain financial databases, KPI dashboards, and cost/lending reports.

3. Audit & Compliance Coordination

  • Provide documentation and working papers required for statutory audits.
  • Coordinate information requests between auditors and subsidiaries.
  • Support tracking of audit findings, deliverables, and deadlines.
  • Assist in maintaining internal controls and audit‑ready documentation.

4. Board & Investor Reporting Support

  • Collect and prepare inputs for board materials, dashboards, and analytical reports.
  • Support preparation of reports for bondholders, banks, and financial institutions.
  • Draft narrative commentary sections for review by the Manager.
    5. Financial Governance & Process Improvement
  • Maintain standardized reporting templates and assist with process documentation.
  • Support system improvements and automation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Finance and IT Teams to ensure accuracy of ERP and reporting data.
  • Promote adherence to financial procedures and internal controls.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s preferred but not required).
  • Professional certification in progress (ACCA/ACA/CPA) is an advantage.
  • 2–4 years of experience in finance, accounting, or audit (Big 4 or group reporting is a plus).
  • Familiarity with IFRS and consolidation principles.
  • Experience in real estate, construction, or multi‑entity groups is an advantage.
  • Advanced Excel; experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Dynamics) and reporting tools (Power BI, Hyperion) preferred.
