Game QA Tester

What you’ll be doing:

We are currently seeking a QA Tester to work closely with our development team to identify, log, and track defects within our latest title developed on the Unreal Engine. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the software testing life cycle, show meticulous attention to detail, and have a passion for producing high-quality games.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results.
• Work as part of the QA team to ensure the functionality, reliability, and stability of the game.
• Report and document technical issues and bugs.
• Collaborate with the team to prioritize and validate issues.
• Contribute to the creation of test plans and test cases.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and other stakeholders to facilitate timely resolution of bugs.
• Assist in the preparation of reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a QA tester or relevant role in game development.
• Understanding of QA methodologies and software development life cycle.
• Proficiency in documenting and troubleshooting errors.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with bug tracking systems such as JIRA or similar software.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Passion for video games and a good understanding of the market.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Unreal Engine 4 or 5.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools.
• Experience in a live service/online game environment.
• Understanding of scripting languages such as Python, Lua, or similar.
