Health & Safety Officer

Job Description:

Are you passionate about creating safe and efficient work environments? We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Health & Safety Officer to support our dynamic team on a major international infrastructure project. While the role is primarily administrative, it offers a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to workplace safety and compliance, with a mix of office-based tasks and occasional site visits.

Main Responsibilities:

•         Maintain accurate records and filing systems for all H&S-related documentation in line with Serbian regulations and company requirements.
•         Prepare and update H&S reports, checklists, and registers.
•         Conduct H&S induction trainings for employees, subcontractors, and visitors, ensuring understanding of site rules and basic safety measures.
•         Provide administrative support to the H&S Department, including assisting H&S Engineers and the HSE Manager in their daily tasks.
•         Support the preparation of H&S documentation for inspections, audits, and client reporting.
•         Carry out occasional H&S site visits to verify compliance with H&S requirements, identify risks, and prepare follow-up notes.
•         Serve as a backup for colleagues in the H&S Department where required.

Requirements:

•         University degree (VI/VII level), preferably in safety engineering, engineering, environmental science, or related field.
•         Basic knowledge of Serbian health and safety regulations and willingness to further develop expertise.
•         Strong command of the English language (both spoken and written) is essential.
•         Excellent computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
•         Strong organizational and documentation management skills.
•         Ability to work in a multicultural environment and communicate effectively across teams.
•         Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as within a team.
