Our story   

During 17 years of business in the Western Balkans market, following the acquisition of Marbo Product (established in 1995), PepsiCo has invested in new production lines, capacity expansion, portfolio growth, improved working conditions, employee development, and environmental protection initiatives. PepsiCo Western Balkans, with more than 1,000 employees, has distinguished itself as one of the most significant producers of savory snacks in the region, with brands such as Chipsy, Clipsy, Pardon, and GUD, which have become part of the global PepsiCo portfolio. The local portfolio was expanded in 2018 with the introduction of a world-famous PepsiCo brand: the renowned tortilla chips Doritos. 

The plant in Maglic (Bački Petrovac, Serbia) also produces the globally recognized Lay’s brand, made from locally sourced raw materials for export to several EU markets. The business in Bosnia and Herzegovina operates through three distribution centers.

Responsibilities   

• Provide expert legal advice on various legal matters across multiply jurisdiction within South East Europe and Baltics
• Advise on all aspects of employment and labor law, including hiring and termination processes, disciplinary matters, internal policies, collective agreements, workplace duties and interaction with authorities
• Ensure compliance with employment-related data protection requirements, including lawful processing of employee and candidate personal data, HR documentation, data retention
• Support and oversee general data protection and privacy compliance (GDPR and applicable local laws)
• Draft, review, negotiate and manage a wide range of procurement and commercial agreements for goods and services, including supply, distribution, logistics, IT, marketing, professional services and outsourcing contracts
• Provide guidance on competition law, including review of commercial practices, pricing, promotions
• Deliver competition law and anti-bribery trainings to support awareness-building and prevention of legal risks
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments relevant for FMCG industry and proactively assess their impact on the business
• Manage and coordinate litigation, disputes and misdemeanor proceedings, including engagement of external counsel, preparation of legal strategies and monitoring of risks, costs and outcome

Requirements  

• Law degree and admission to practice law in the Republic of Serbia
• Bar exam desirable
• Ideally 5+ years of experience, preferably in a multinational company or a reputable law firm
• Strong knowledge of employment law in the Republic of Serbia
• Proven ability to manage complex legal matters and cross-border projects
• High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
• Fluency in English
