Our Legal Department is expanding its team and we are announcing an opening for the following position:

LEGAL COUNSEL

Location: New Belgrade

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and support on all contractual and commercial matters, including negotiation, drafting, and review of various business agreements.
• Advise on company law matters, including corporate governance, group structure and compliance with statutory obligations for the parent company and its subsidiaries.
• Advise on labour law matters, including compliance with employment regulations, workplace policies, and support for HR-related legal issues.
• Advise on real estate matters, including lease agreements, property transactions, and regulatory compliance related to real estate operations.
• Advise on and manage matters related to damages and insurance claims.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
• Support other departments with legal expertise in day-to-day business operations.
• Monitor and interpret legislative and regulatory developments relevant to the company’s business.
• Prepare legal reports, risk assessments, and maintain accurate and up-to-date legal records and documentation.
• Participate in the development and implementation of internal policies, procedures, and best practices to mitigate legal risks.
• Coordinate and oversee external legal matters for the group and its subsidiaries, including the engagement and management of outside counsel.

Required Qualifications:

• University degree in Law
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in corporate legal affairs
• Passed Bar Exam
• Excellent computer literacy (MS Office)
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications (a plus):

• Previous experience working in a major law firm or in-house legal department of a large corporation.
