We are looking for:

Manager Repair Engineering who will be leading the engineering department for repairs and supporting operational processes.

Tasks

• Responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and successfully maintaining processes in this specific area of responsibility.
• Preparation or commissioning of all necessary production documentation based on drawings, manuals and regulations for overhaul work in order to meet quality requirements and deadlines as efficiently as possible (initiation and coordination of planning cycles).
• Compliance with defined company policies, standards, regulatory approval requirements and quality procedures within specific areas of responsibility
• Ensure that all relevant laws are complied with and that all team members within his/her assigned area of responsibility are fully aware of the associated requirements.
• Ensure that available working documentation is current and in accordance with given technical and regulatory aviation requirements
• Improve the productivity/efficiency of operational processes.
• Providing professional guidance and support, approving newly developed policies from different departments and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Play an active role in the planning and completion of projects, which are identified as key to business development.
• Evaluating subordinate employees
• Managing shift planning, vacations, overtime work and monitoring compliance with working hours, hourly rules, and work regulations of subordinate employees
• Support in the development of existing employees, succession planning and hiring of new staff.
• Management of organizational unit personnel including development and qualification of personnel to meet quantitative and qualitative requirements.
• Implementation of all quality management requirements from authorities, customers, partners and the group, as well as all work, safety and security requirements
• Environmental protection conditions within one's own organizational unit.
• Ensuring smooth production (technology, resources, material flow) in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Timely detection, reporting and response to deviations beyond agreed limits and regulations
• Disciplinary powers to ensure the immediate flow of work (division of tasks, allocation of priorities, termination of work and general conduct issues, such as compliance with work regulations).
• Decision on the design and development of production processes within the framework of applicable MTU rules and regulations.
• Decisions within the objectives and budget agreed with the responsible manager.
• In consultation with the responsible manager, he/she represents the technical and economic interests of the repair parts in committees and with all customers, suppliers and contractors

Requirements

• University degree in engineering or aeronautics
• Several years of managerial experience in a similar position
• Experience in MRO preferred
• MS Office, preferred SAP
• Excellent management and communication skills; teamwork orientation, good analytical and organizational skills
• Lean management experience/successful implementation of Lean projects in production.
• English language
