Position Summary

Material Planning Technician is responsible for monitoring material availability, analyzing inventory, planning procurement, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure the smooth execution of production processes.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Creates reports and analyzes material coverage and ordered material verification
• Prepares reports on supplier delivery delays
• Fills out reports on critical materials and those exceeding the defined maximum
• Checks and approves materials for internal validation and delivery to other Aptiv plants
• Organizes material transport between Aptiv plants
• Creates one-time purchase orders (PO) for critical materials
• Monitors stock levels and manages the return of empty packaging to suppliers
• Collects data on deviations from defined delivery conditions
• Initiates and tracks supplier claims due to contract deviations
• Ensures that all purchase orders for the current week are created
• Sets up new materials and suppliers in the system (SAP MM)
• Checks and resolves system errors via applications (SAP and ROT)

Your Background

• Minimum High school education, preferably University or Higher education
• Knowledge of the functioning of the JIT, Kanban, Pull System, Pay on use
• Previous experience in SAP or some ERP/MRP system
• Knowledge of problem solving tools
• Fluent in English
• Advanced Microsoft Office
• Enthusiastic, creative, ready for teamwork and with good communication skill
• Organizational skills
